The Employee Assistance Fund for Alaska Airlines (the EAF) is in search of new members for its Board of Directors.
If you are seeking a volunteer opportunity ,and consider your coworkers as friends and part of your community, then the EAF wants YOU.
As a member of the Board, you will work directly with employees facing times of considerable hardship, such as those dealing with serious illness, a catastrophic event, or other emergency situations. Your job is to connect with your assigned applicant to learn about their situation and present your case to the rest of the Board.
We help approved cases pay their household bills and expenses while they can focus on getting healthy and back to a normal life.
The EAF is a last financial resort for these employees. The work is challenging but rewarding.
The position requires 4-6 hours of your time per month, plus attendance at monthly meetings and participation in EAF fundraising events such as our golf tournament or auction.
